The rising burden of diabetes mellitus type 2 is a major concern in healthcare industry. The current dataset shows 465 million as prevalence of DM 2 corresponding to 6.28% of the global population. In 1990 Diabetes was 18th cause of death but it is ranked 9th leading cause of death showing an alarming rise. Remarkably, Asian countries retain the top spots with significant rise in number despite of massive financial and temporal investments. The concerning fact is there is considerable rise and no sign of stabilizing.
