Why Yoga?

The science of yoga is an ancient one and is a rich heritage of our culture. Yoga basically means ultimate connection of mind and body. It’s a science and art of holistic development. Yogic practices help in keeping up the health by mechanisms like exercise effect, regualtion in biochemical and hormonal profile and elimination of stress and instilling a sense of discipline. Study suggests that yoga helps significantly in regulating hyperglycemia by rise in insulin receptors and many other alternate ways. Yogic asanas work on the insulin kinetics and lipid metabolism and thereby prevents diabetes.  They also have a favorable effect on improving the immunity, stimulating abdominal organs and improving the blood circulation. Yoga is a feasible strategy to help reduce risk of complications in diabetic patients. Yoga reduces oxidative damage, improves blood profiles and lung functions, decreases stress and other related chronic issues. Yoga is ultimately useful in reducing medication requirements in patients with diabetes and helps to prevent and manage cardiovascular complications.
